I believe Stephen joined the Derbyshire Constabulary in approximately 1966, retiring after 30 years service. There is also a suggestion that he served as a Constable in Nottinghamshire Police for some time, possibly immediately before retirement. After his retirement it is believed that he again joined Nottinghamshire as a member of their Support Staff in the role of a Custody officer or similar. His funeral service was held at Bramcote Crematorium on 16th February 2023. Apologies that the information we have may be somewhat vague and confusing.
