It is with sadness that I have to inform your of the death, following a stroke, on the 16th July 2024 of ex PC 257 Anthony 'Tony' Walter WOOLLETT, 86 years. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Anne Woollett.
Tony, as he was known, retired in 1987 having served in Ilkeston, Belper and as the Road Safety Officer for A division based at Alfreton. Tony's hobby was as a Magician known as 'YNOT', which he used to promote Road Safety and also presented shows for charity throughout the County for many years. His funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Tuesday 20th August 2024 at St. Martin's Church, Church Street, Alfreton DE55 7AH; followed by cremation at 3.00pm at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH. It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death in a Nursing Home on the 28th May 2024 of ex Insp Michael Milner GILL, 87 years. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Ruth Gill. All communication should be to her nephew, Mr. David Thurgood.
Michael joined the Derby Borough Police in 1958 rising to Inspector. He retired in 1990. His funeral has been arranged for 12.15pm on Monday 29th July 2024 at St. John the Evangelist, Mill Street, Derby DE1 3HZ. Followed by a close family committal at Markeaton Crematorium.. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Tricia Walton.
Paul retired in 2004 having served at Matlock, Pear Tree Derby, Matlock Road Traffic and for the last 18 years as a Dog handler. His funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024 at St. Giles Church, 116 Church Street, Matlock DE4 3BZ followed by a private family burial in Holloway.
