It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 16th September 2021 at the Royal Hospital, Chestefield, after a short illness, of Mrs Elizabeth GRAY, 92 years, widow of Sgt 282 James Gray. Elizabeth until her passing lived at Holymoorside, Chesterfield. Her next of kin is her son, Mr Michael Gray.
Her funeral has been arranged for 10.30am on Monday 4th October 2021 at Chesterfield Crematorium, Brimington Road, Chesterfield; followed by a Memorial service at St. Peter's Church, Holymoorside, Chesterfield at 11.15am. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 20th August 2021, of ex Commandant of the Derbyshire Special Constabulary, Mr Eric William ALLEN, 88 years. Unfortunately I do not have full details of his service with the Specials, but he was Commandant for 10 years retiring in 1993 from that post. His next of kin is his daughter Mrs Hazel Williams. Eric was an active and long standing member of the International Police Association (IPA) Derbyshire Branch.
His funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Friday 24th September 2021 at the Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH. Sean Murphy (Secretary) It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Monday 6th September, 2021, of ex PC 581 Desmond ‘Des’ John O’BRIEN, 93 years, at his Nursing Home in Belper. His next of kin is his son Philip O’Brien. Des as he was known, started with the British Transport Police for 5 years before joining Derby Boro’ Police (Pc 33) before amalgamation. He served mainly in the Boro’ and South Derbyshire and for the last 10 years he was a Crime Prevention Officer. He was heavily involved with the Police Federation where he was chair of the JBB. He retired in 1980 when he worked as Security at Gloworm, Belper. His funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Thursday, 30th September 2021 at the Round Chapel, Markeaton Crematorium, Derby.
