It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death yesterday (30/05/2022) of Mrs Rosemary Goodwin CRESSWELL, 93 years, widow of Sgt 1 Ted Cresswell of Ripley. Rosemary’s next of kin is her niece, Mrs Paula Sheldon. Rosemary was on end of life care at the Royal Hospital, Derby.
Her funeral has been arranged for 11.00am on Wednesday 22nd June 2022 at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Mr. Timothy BENNETT, 71 years, on the 29th March 2022 who was the husband of ex PC 1772 Elizabeth Adele Bennett nee Maguire. Timothy was not a Police Officer. He had been quite poorly and Liz was his carer.
His funeral has already taken place on the 3rd May 2022. Sean Murphy (Secretary)  It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 30th April 2022 of ex PC 1408 Robert Thomas GLOVER, 70 years after a short stay in Old Lodge Care Home, Etwall. His next of kin is his daughter Claire Glover. Bob as he was known was living with Vascular Dementia and being cared for by his daughter Claire. His wife, Christine Lesley Glover pre deceased him in 2018.
Bob joined the Police in October 1979 after his Naval career as a Naval Regulator ( Navy Police) until his retirement in July 2008. He served mainly in Derby and was a Gaoler for a long time and his wife was the Police matron. On retirement he worked as a civilian in the Crime Management Unit at HQ. His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Monday 30th May 2022 at Trent Valley Crematorium, Derby Road, Aston on Trent, Derby DE72 2AF. Floral tributes welcomed or donations may be left in the collection box at the service and will be forwarded to the Old lodge Nursing Home. Following the service, light refreshments will be served at The Coopers Arms, Weston on Trent, Derby DE72 2BJ Sean Murphy (Secretary) |
