It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 2nd September 2022, following a short stay in hospital with a chest infection, of ex PC 814 Alan WILLIAMS, 75 years. His next of kin is his son, Richard Williams. Alan lived at with his daughter Patricia Williams. Alans wife Marie pre-deceased him in 2018. Prior to joining the Police in 1971, Alan served in the Grenadier Guards. He retired in 2004 having served mainly in B Division and worked foot patrol in Matlock, where he was known as the Sheriff of Hurst Farm. On retiring he ran a private hire car firm until 2012.
His funeral has been arranged for 11.10am on Friday 23rd September 2022 at Chesterfield Crematorium, Brimington Road, Chesterfield S43 1AU. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Mrs Anne COLPUS, 83 years, wife of ex C/Insp Ivor Colpus, after a long battle with Cancer but peacefully at Kings Mill Hospital, on Friday 12th August 2022. Her next of kin is her husband ex C/Insp Ivor Colpus.
Ivor retired in 1987 as Chief Inspector of the Derbyshire Police Training School. I will update you with the funeral arrangements when known. His next of kin is his son, Dean Maskery. Basil’s wife Janet pre deceased him in 2008.
Basil worked all his Police service in Derby and on retiring from the Police he re-joined as a Civilian in the Enquiry Office at Derby, finally retiring in 2007. Basil’s funeral has been arranged for 3.30pm on Monday 12th September at Derby Crematorium, Markeaton Lane, Derby DE22 4NH. Sean Murphy (Secretary) It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death yesterday, Wednesday 31st August 2022, of ex Insp 54 Brian Edward GREEN, 79 years, unexpectedly after a short illness in Hospital following a fall at his home. His next of kin is his wife Mrs Gwendoline May Green.
Brian joined the Police in Lincolnshire in 1965 before moving to Humberside. He transferred to Derbyshire Constabulary on promotion to Sergeant in 1978 and was promoted Inspector in 1992. He served his time in Derby until his retirement in 1995. His funeral has been arranged for 12.00 noon on Friday 30th September 2022 at St. Edmunds Church, Kings Croft, Allestree, Derby DE22 2FN. There will be a private family cremation following the service. Mourners are invited to The Great Northern, Station Road, Mickleover, Derby DE3 9FB. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
