It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death, on Thursday 20th April 2023, peacefully after a long battle with cancer, of Mrs Glenys Margaret DRAYCOTT, 79 years, wife of ex PC 47 John Draycott.
Her funeral has been arranged for 12.00 noon on Thursday 4th May 2023 at Stockport Crematorium, Buxton Road, Heavily, Stockport SK2 6LS in the Cypress Chapel. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Saturday 15th April 2023, after a short illness in Hospital of ex PC 315 Donald ‘Don’ WESSON, 95 years. His next of kin is his daughter Mrs Val Langley.
Don joined the Police in 1956 and served in Long Eaton, Belper, Swadlincote and Road Traffic. He was then Road Safety Officer until his retirement in 1983. His funeral has been arranged for 12.45pm on Thursday 11th May 2023 at Bretby Crematorium, Geary Lane, Bretby, Burton on Trent DE15 0QE. Sean Murphy (Secretary) It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Monday 10th April 2023, after a short illness in Hospital of ex PC 50 Geoffrey SELBY-SLY, 78 years. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Christine Selby-Sly.
Geoffrey joined the Police in September, 1967 and served in Alfreton, North Wingfield and Chesterfield before retiring on ill health in 1994 and for the past 3 years he suffered with Alzheimer’s. His funeral has been arranged for 10.30am on Tuesday 9th May 2023 at Brimington Crematorium, Chesterfield Road, Brimington, Chesterfield S43 1AU and afterwards at The Gate Inn, The Knoll, Tansley, Nr. Matlock DE4 5FN. Sean Murphy (Secretary) It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Tuesday 28th March 2023, in hospital after a short illness of Mr George WEST, 68 years, husband of ex WPC 1773 Louise West who is his next of kin. Louise served in Derby from 1977 originally as Louise Hirst, until she married in 1982 and then served until retiring in 1997 due to an injury on duty.
His funeral will be held at 2.30pm on Friday 21st April 2023 in the main chapel at Markeaton Crematorium, Derby. Sean Murphy (Secretary) I'm sorry to inform you of the death of Mr. John Hool 93yrs, formerly caretaker at Ilkeston Police Station. He will be remembered by many who worked there during the late 1980s.
