It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Monday 10th April 2023, after a short illness in Hospital of ex PC 50 Geoffrey SELBY-SLY, 78 years. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Christine Selby-Sly.
Geoffrey joined the Police in September, 1967 and served in Alfreton, North Wingfield and Chesterfield before retiring on ill health in 1994 and for the past 3 years he suffered with Alzheimer’s. His funeral has been arranged for 10.30am on Tuesday 9th May 2023 at Brimington Crematorium, Chesterfield Road, Brimington, Chesterfield S43 1AU and afterwards at The Gate Inn, The Knoll, Tansley, Nr. Geoff was a thoroughly decent fella. Very intelligent with a dry wit.
