It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 12th July 2022, peacefully at home after a long illness, of ex Sgt 970 Dennis Arthur SKELTON, 87 years. Dennis was given 3 months to live in September 2021. His next of kin is his partner of 36 years, Sandra Steele. .
Dennis joined the Derby Borough Police in 1959 and was issued with collar number 181 until amalgamation in 1967 when he moved to Derbyshire County and Borough where he was Sgt 970 until he retired in 1988. He served mainly in Derby. His funeral has been arranged for 11.00am on Monday 1st August 2022 at Amber Valley Crematorium and Memorial Park, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH. Sean Murphy (Secretary)
