It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death yesterday, Wednesday 31st August 2022, of ex Insp 54 Brian Edward GREEN, 79 years, unexpectedly after a short illness in Hospital following a fall at his home. His next of kin is his wife Mrs Gwendoline May Green.
Brian joined the Police in Lincolnshire in 1965 before moving to Humberside. He transferred to Derbyshire Constabulary on promotion to Sergeant in 1978 and was promoted Inspector in 1992. He served his time in Derby until his retirement in 1995. His funeral has been arranged for 12.00 noon on Friday 30th September 2022 at St. Edmunds Church, Kings Croft, Allestree, Derby DE22 2FN. There will be a private family cremation following the service. Mourners are invited to The Great Northern, Station Road, Mickleover, Derby DE3 9FB. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
