It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 2nd August 2021, after a short illness, of ex PC 1473 Stephen WILKINS, 69 years. Stephen lived with his son, David. Unfortunately I have only just been informed of Stephen’s passing. His funeral has already taken place.
Stephen retired in 2010 having served in Derby, Derby CID and Fraud Squad. It has been requested that no letters of condolence be sent. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

I knew Steve when I was Inspr. at Cotton Lane in the 80's. I liked him. He was an outstanding police officer but perhaps more importantly a genuinely nice guy who would do anything to help if he could.

Joined with Steve in 1979. Cracking lad for saying he went the CID route. Sadly missed. A proper copper.
