Sid’s briefing at Beetwell Street for the Milk Race circa late 80’s/1990 was as entertaining as it was informative. Certainly the highlight of a typically mundane day.

A true gentleman and a very fair driving examiner who always put you at ease whilst on test. Sadly missed when he left the Force Driving School and a credit to the Police Service.

Sid was an exemplar for police driving. As Colin Parker says he was a 'true gentleman'. If you knew him you would like him as he had such a warm presence and always had time for you.
