I have good memories of Phil from my police cadet days in the mid 70's when he was a Constable in Cadet Training. Our professional paths crossed again when he was my Inspector on Uniform Task Force. Very sad to hear of his passing.

Phil was my Sgt on Task Force in the 80s. A good man who led from the front. Rest in peace Phil. Gone, but not forgotten.

Phil was one of the most positive police officers I have ever worked with. A great team leader and very, very capable. I am very sad to learn of his passing and Linda and I send our heartfelt thoughts to Maxine and family.

Shocked to hear of his sudden passing. Was my Inspector on The Task Force 1988/91. Sat near to each other at Pride Park Stadium and always had a good chat on match days about the job and the fortunes of The Rams.
