Philip PICKERING

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death yesterday, 13th December 2021, at The Royal Hospital, Derby after a short illness, of ex PC Philip PICKERING, 75 years. His next of kin is his wife Leslie Pickering.

Philip served in Derby Borough from 1966 to 1970. He was the son of ex Insp Wilf Pickering.

This is more for information of ex colleagues.

Worked with Phil at Derby Central from late 1968 until 1970. He was a genuine friendly person who was respected by all his shift colleagues.
RIP Phil.

Son of Philip Pickering. I was hoping that those that worked with him, knew him would be able to cast some memories when working with him. He wasn’t someone that spoke much about his time in the force in the late 60’s. He gave snippets but nothing of any bounty. He and I started our relationship when I was 11. Only developing our friendship up until his passing.
I perhaps could share some with you.
