It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden death at home, on Sunday 6th June 2021, of ex Sgt 651 Philip Ian CROOK, 75 years. His next of kin is his wife Mrs Jenny Crook.
Phil, as he was known, retired in 1993 whilst a Patrol Sergeant in Chesterfield. He served in Matlock, Swadlincote, Renishaw and Chesterfield mainly in CID. He was seconded to the Regional Crime Squad and on return was the Intelligence Officer. His son David is a retired Derbyshire Police Officer and his grandson is a serving Police Officer with South Yorkshire. His funeral has been arranged for 2.30pm on Thursday 24th June 2021 at Chesterfield Crematorium, Chesterfield Road, Brimington, Chesterfield S43 1AU. Covid restrictions will apply to the Service, however mourners are able to line the route at the Crematorium. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

I joined the force on the same day as phil knew him all my service nice man good officer. very sad news
