It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death in hospital on the 10th February 2024 of ex Sgt 412 Peter MUNDIN, 76 years. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony (Tony) and Nick Mundin. Peter’s wife, Pat, predeceased him in 2008. Peter joined Derbyshire Police in 1966 and was stationed at Chesterfield, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Heanor and Derby, retiring in 1997 as patrol Sergeant. He then worked as a civilian in the Enquiry Office.
He had a heart valve bypass about two years ago and since then has suffered with his health until he had cardio vascular dementia and had to be admitted to hospital two weeks ago. His funeral has been arranged for 3.00pm on Monday 11th March 2024 at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH. No flowers and donations to the Royal Mencap Society.
