It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death peacefully on Thursday 23rd May 2024 of ex Supt 410 Paul CALLUM after a brave and dignified 16 month fight following his brain tumour diagnosis. His next of kin is his wife Jenny. Paul started his Police career in Glossop and later served in Buxton, on the Uniform Task Force, at Swadlincote on promotion to Sergeant, Derby CID, as reactive Inspector , DI on Major Crime and latterly as Superintendent in Criminal Justice and Public Protection. Paul was one of a kind. His infectious and persuasive character always ensured that the charity functions he arranged were alway a sell out, raising large amounts for good causes. He will be missed by all those who knew him. From Jenny Callum We would like to invite friends and family to join us to celebrate Paul’s life. The funeral service will be held at 10.30am on Tuesday 25th June at Trent Valley Crematorium, DE72 2AF. Family flowers only please, but we would be very grateful of donations to our chosen charities - The Brain Tumour Charity and the Nightingale Macmillan Unit. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service. After the funeral those attending will be invited to Derby Leisure and Events. (formally the Rolls Royce Pavilion) to celebrate Paul's life. Those who wish to attend are asked to message Paul's wife Jenny which will help towards catering requirements. I can pass on this message if required. Ian Louch (Chair Derbyshire NARPO)

I went to school with Paul . I can’t say that we were that close, but we ‘shared’ friends.
