RIP Mick. We joined on the same day and traveled together up and down to panel ash.
You are out of your suffering now. Condolences to Julie and family.

RIP Mick. Really nice guy. Served with him early 70's at Long Eaton. Very quietly spoken. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Thank you to those who have been in touch and the many lovely comments I've received via various media regarding my treasured husband Mike, it have been truly heart-warming. I have so many people to thank, I don't quite know where to start. I would like to thank Sean Murphy for his help, assistance and advice. Such kindness Sean, THANK YOU. Ohhhhh goodness! I miss my Mike beyond worldly expression. We were totally devoted to one another, I just wish I could do it all over again, we've been so very happy, health issues or not. Still my Big Bear. xxx

Julie,
Pam and I are so sad to have read of Mick’s passing. He was a top bloke and was very welcoming when I joined section three at Chesterfield in 1980. He was always a great laugh, an instinctive copper and fun to be around. He will be remembered fondly by us both. Remember the good times, because as you’ll know, there were loads of them. x

Hi Alan & Pam,
Many thanks for your comments. I'm afraid it's taking time to respond to messages, my apologies, I have to choose the right time. Yes, sooooo many beautiful memories of our time together, even through the years of MS, we've shared so much together. I have been truly blessed to be his wife. Oh boy, I never knew you could cry so much though. I miss him, his smile, his laughter, his love. Even the week before I lost my treasured man, we'd always spend time just being close, he would still kiss my hand. He never failed to surprise me. My Big Beautiful Bear. God Bless. And...thank you both. xxx
