Worked with Ken on Chesterfield Traffic for quite a few years. Professional but with a keen sense of humour. RIP Ken and condolences to the family.

While I knew of Ken when we were both regular officers, I had most dealings with him as a civvy after I retired and worked in CREST. For reasons best known to management, we were always moving stuff and Ken's department had season tickets to our Portakabin. Colloquially known as "Narpo Removals", he and his lads were a source of tremendous assistance and unbounded laughter. Another colleague who will be sorely missed.

His father and mine were colleagues and close friends for years in the 50,s 60,s.I knew his mum Evelyn and we looked after little Kenny for a while when his sister Anne was born.I remember him as a lively little boy and recently made contact on face book and had a good chat about our memories. No mention of illness .Sad news.
