It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death in hospital on the 20th January 2024 of ex D/Sgt 869 Ian ALLEN, 83 years. His next of kin is his wife Mrs Susan (Sue) Allen of Repton. His first wife, Maureen, passed away in 2003. He leaves 3 sons, Paul, Mark and Jason.
Ian joined the Derbyshire Police in 1964 and retired in 1996 having served at Swadlincote, Derby and in Special Branch. On retiring he worked as a civilian investigator for Derbyshire Police and then as a security officer with a local firm. His funeral has been arranged for 3.30pm on Friday 16th February 2024 at Derby Crematorium, Markeaton Lane, Derby and afterwards at the Great Northern Hotel, Station Road, Mickleover, Derby DE3 9FB.
