Geoffrey Thomas Potten

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden death, on Friday 29th January 2021, of ex Sgt  405 Geoffrey Thomas Potten, 86 years.  His next of kin is his wife Mrs Sylvia Diane Potten.

Geoff, as he was known, retired in 1982 whilst Sergeant at Chesterfield.  He served mainly on Road Traffic and Motorway section.

His funeral will be held at 11.00am on Monday 1st March 2021 at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick, Alfreton DE55 1BH. This will be a small family service and Covid restrictions will apply.

Only just seen this. Remember Geoff when I was a young PC at Chesterfield. He was the type of Sergeant who always tried to help me and taught me many valuable lessons. He was a lovely man and I am sad at his passing. My condolences to all his family.
