It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 24th October 2022 of former Special Commandant Eric John PAINTER, 95 years. His next of kin is his niece, Mrs Bev Brownsword.
Eric was Special Commandant at Derby from 1962 to 1987. His niece found a Certificate of Service showing his service in the Special Constabulary, signed by Alan Smith Chief Constable. He was also a member of the International Police Association (IPA). His funeral has been arranged for 2.30pm on Thursday 24th November 2022 at the Main Chapel, Markeaton Crematorium, Derby.
