It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 25th December 2020 of Ex Supt David Roy Ashton, 89 years. His next of kin is his wife Audrey Ashton.
Roy, as he was known, collar number (672) served in Derbyshire from 1953 to 1978 when he transferred on promotion as Superintendent to West Mercia, serving in Complaints and discipline, Commandant of Droitwich Police Training School and finished as Supt. at Evesham in 1982. His funeral will be held at 11.00am on Thursday 14th January 2021 at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Swanwick.
