I first knew Adam when I was a teenager in Duffield and he was on the youth club management committee. A quietly spoken, true gentleman who engendered great respect. I put his name down as a referee when I joined Derby County & Borough in 1971. I probably never properly thanked him, so thanks Adam.

When I first met Adam he was old but he never changed over the years. Went on many IPA trips with Adam and Jean to Italy and Poland. Lovely man, kind and caring. Happy memories.

I met Adam in the late 60s, he was a friend of my grandfather, such a pleasant , kind well spoken man. He took me on several trips out in his maxi car and accompanied by his two dogs. i had the utmost respect for Adam. I have not seen him for years, but would like to know what happened to his daughter, [Susan i believe]. Many thanks Adam.
