It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Thursday 25th September 2025 of ex DC 1136 William ‘Bill’ John DURRANT, 79 years. Bill endured a 3 year battle with Cancer and died peacefully at home with family present. His next of kin is his wife, Mrs Mary Durrant.
Bill served in the Merchant Navy travelling to all parts of the world before joining the Police. He served in Glossop, Buxton and was seconded to Sheffield Regional Crime Squad. He retired in 2002 shortly before he was diagnosed with Cancer. Bill’s funeral has been arranged for 12.00 noon on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at Bangor Crematorium, Llandegal Road, Bangor LL57 4HP. I did my initial training with Bill when we joined the job. He was a very likeable , friendly guy. He was a good cop and our paths crossed frequently throughout our service. R.I.P, Bill

Thankyou for all the comments at this time for my dad bill durrant my dad was a amazing dad and a great police officer me and my sister s found it really exciting having our dad as a police officer he helped allot of people during his service which in turn helped us as his children.
