His next of kin is his wife, Wendy Maureen Burrows. However their nephew, Mr Shaun Fairbrother, is Executor and trustee; and as such is dealing with all correspondence. David joined Derbyshire Police in 1968 and retired in 1997 as Chief Inspector. He served mainly in Chesterfield and area. His next of kin is his niece, Mrs Bev Brownsword.
Eric was Special Commandant at Derby from 1962 to 1987. His niece found a Certificate of Service showing his service in the Special Constabulary, signed by Alan Smith Chief Constable. His next of kin is his daughter Tracy TISO. he also has a son Martyn Dibble. Paul joined the Derby Boro’ Police in 1967. He served all his service in Derby retiring in 1997. Tragically Paul was diagnosed with terminal cancer last January. His wife Tricia died in September, of this year and Paul was too ill to attend her funeral a few days before he passed away. Paul’s funeral has been arranged for 10.30am on Monday 14th November 2022 at Trent Valley Crematorium, Derby Road, Aston on Trent, Derby DE72 2AF and afterwards at the Coopers Arms, Weston on Trent, DE72 2BJ. Marion was for many years the cook at Buxton Police Canteen, she was loved by all and she would cook chips for breakfast, which endeared her more. Apparently driving courses from other Forces would end up at Buxton Police Station. Her husband Derek, who pre deceased her was the Driver Handyman. I have no details of the next of kin.

Between 1974 and 1976 he was seconded to the Planning Unit at Ryton on Dunsmore Training School. He also worked in the Training School at Police Headquarters. His next of kin is his son, Richard Williams. Alan lived at with his daughter Patricia Williams. Alans wife Marie pre-deceased him in 2018. Prior to joining the Police in 1971, Alan served in the Grenadier Guards. He retired in 2004 having served mainly in B Division and worked foot patrol in Matlock, where he was known as the Sheriff of Hurst Farm. On retiring he ran a private hire car firm until 2012.

Basil worked all his Police service in Derby and on retiring from the Police he re-joined as a Civilian in the Enquiry Office at Derby, finally retiring in 2007. Brian joined the Police in Lincolnshire in 1965 before moving to Humberside. He transferred to Derbyshire Constabulary on promotion to Sergeant in 1978 and was promoted Inspector in 1992. He served his time in Derby until his retirement in 1995. His funeral has been arranged for 12.00 noon on Friday 30th September 2022 at St. Edmunds Church, Kings Croft, Allestree, Derby DE22 2FN. He moved to Essex after the death of his wife in 2009. Dennis joined the Derby Borough Police in 1959 and was issued with collar number 181 until amalgamation in 1967 when he moved to Derbyshire County and Borough where he was Sgt 970 until he retired in 1988. His wife Jean predeceased him in 2014. His next of kin is his daughter Amanda Dudley. Michael joined the Derbyshire Police in 1971 when he was allocated shoulder number 395. He resigned in 1977 but re-joined in 1979, when he was allocated shoulder number 1326. He served at Chesterfield, Bakewell and on Matlock Traffic until he retired on ill health in 1989, when he was diagnosed with Cancer. Since November, 2021 he has been in the care of Ashgate Hospice until his passing. As per his wishes, he is to have a Direct Cremation with the Co-op Funeralcare, Chesterfield so there will no funeral service. His next of kin is his daughter Claire Glover. Bob as he was known was living with Vascular Dementia and being cared for by his daughter Claire. His wife, Christine Lesley Glover pre deceased him in 2018. Bob joined the Police in October 1979 after his Naval career as a Naval Regulator ( Navy Police) until his retirement in July 2008. He served mainly in Derby and was a Gaoler for a long time and his wife was the Police matron. On retirement he worked as a civilian in the Crime Management Unit at HQ. His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Monday 30th May 2022 at Trent Valley Crematorium, Derby Road, Aston on Trent, Derby DE72 2AF. Floral tributes welcomed or donations may be left in the collection box at the service and will be forwarded to the Old lodge Nursing Home.
