It is with sadness that I have to inform your of the unexpected and sudden death on Thursday 19th September 2024 of Mrs Peta Joan POTTER nee Cresswell, 69 years, wife of ex DC 436 Clive Potter.
Peta passed away peacefully whilst having lunch out, with Clive, and as such may require an inquest. Peta Cresswell as she was known worked at Police Headquarters mainly in charge of the Special Branch office and latterly in FIB before retiring in 2015. Her funeral has been arranged for 10.00am on Friday 18th October 2024 at Amber Valley Memorial Park and Crematorium, Derby Road, Swanwick DE55 1BH and afterwards at the Pavilion Restaurant, Morley Hayes Hotel, Main Road, Morley, Ilkeston DE7 6QA. So very sorry to hear this awful news. Both my sister and I worked with Peta in C I D admin in the 70's. Peta was a good friend and colleague. Condolences to Clive, her sisters and their families. RIP Peta
