It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Monday 24th March 2025 in a Hospice, of ex DC 519 Paul ‘Pooley’ Anthony Williams, 74 years. His next of kin is his partner of many years, Coral Cocksworth. Paul served as a Detective in Derby, Long Eaton, Alfreton, Ilkeston and Regional Crime Squad. He retired in about 2002 when he worked with the late Bill Dugard eventually taking over when Bill passed, and then by himself and Derby University. Pooley as he was affectionally known, at his request, is having a Direct Cremation, so there will be no funeral. Sean Murphy (Secretary)

I remember Pooley from when we were at Long Eaton. Great to work with and a truly decent bloke. Sincere condolences to his family.

Great guy both professionally and socially. I have had many good times with ‘Pooley’’, the late Bill Dugard and the late Dave Sismey.
