It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the death on Saturday 31st January 2026 at his home address of ex PC 159 Paul CLARKE, 55 years. Beloved husband to Emma and father to Faith (21yrs) and Libby (18yrs). Paul fought a brave and courageous battle with Cancer for 2 1/2 yrs. Paul joined Derbyshire Constabulary in March 1992 and worked at Merrill and Cotton Lane Police station as a section officer for a little over 10yrs before joining Op Eagle and the Armed Response Unit where he remained until his retirement in March 2022. Paul will be remembered by his friends and colleagues for his love and passion of cars and motorbikes, his cheeky sense of humour and infectious laugh. He was loved and respected by so many. A devoted husband and father who will be deeply missed by his family. Everyone that knew Paul is welcome to attend the funeral which will take place on Tuesday 3rd March 2026 at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston-on-Trent at 2.30pm followed by a Reception at the Bulls Head, Belper Lane End, Belper. Family flowers only. Donations to Cancer Research. Dress code for the funeral will be in keeping with Paul's wardrobe palette..... Blues, Greens, Grey, Brown colours, Jeans, chinos, country casual, Rab, car/motorbike clothes or gig t-shirts.
