Mick was an absolute legend. He came on to my shift at Ripley as a newly promoted shift sergeant. Always immaculately turned out. He was instrumental in leading me down the Road Traffic Dept. career route, which I’ll always be grateful for. A renowned figure in the Force Driving School and was my instructor on a few occasions. You always knew when you had done something wrong on a drive because his voice went up a few octaves.

Mick was my instructor on the HGV and PSV courses at Driving School. He must have had nerves of steel to trust us behind the wheel of trucks and buses. It was a pleasure to have known him. RIP Mick.

Mick was my instructor on the Advanced Driving course in the early 80s. I was the first officer from the Drug Squad to have one, and boy did he make me work. Top class instructor who survived some hairy moments with the crew I was in. He got me through it. Thanks Mick R.I.P.
