It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 1st February 2026 of Mrs Marilyn RYDE, widow of ex Insp Bryn Ryde (died 1992). Marilyn died at home after a fall. Her next of kin is her daughter, Mrs Alison Bowden.
Buxton officers will remember Marilyn, who was the manageress of Greggs Bakery for many years, through her late husband Bryn and daughter Marilyn who worked at Buxton DHQ. Marilyn’s funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Wednesday 25th February 2026 at St. Mary’s Church, Dale Road, Buxton SK17 6ND. Sean Murphy (Derbyshire NARPO Committee)

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Rides Passing. She was a lovely person, as was her husband Bryn. My sincere Condolences. Stuart Elliott. Ex PC 838 Road Traffic.
