It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on Sunday 31st May 2026 of ex D/Insp Geoffrey HALL. Geoffrey passed away peacefully at the Spencer Grove Care Home in Belper after a three year battle with liver cancer. His next of kin is his wife, Diane. He also leaves one son, Andrew, and a grandson, Joshua, 21 years.
His funeral will be a Direct Cremation with no guests. Richard 'Doc' Watson (Secretary Derbys NARPO)

I worked with Geoff and thought he was a good copper and a gentleman. He was first class and a great team leader. As I remember he took over from Tim Slack , who retired and went to Colite security. Geoff ran the Britannia Park fraud enquiry which was a monumental investigation. He had a great team. It also gave me the opportunity to be Acting DI Fraud Squad. We relocated from Belper ps to Ex Chief Constable Jim Fryers house at HQ. RiP Geoff Hall. All the best to his wife and family
