It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death on the 19th August 2024, peacefully at home after a long illness, of ex PC 840 Brian LANGHAM, 82 years. Brian was ex Derby Borough and served his entire career in Derby. His next of kin is his son Mr Richard Langham, his wife, Helen, predeceased him.

His funeral was held at 3.30pm on Wednesday 18th September 2024, at Trent Valley Crematorium.

Brian was a Borough Man through and through and respected accordingly by us young county whippersnappers.
In 1980 such officers retained huge kudos in D division.
My old departed mate Gary Evans always referred to Brian as “The Milky Bar Kid” but never told me the background to his nickname.
Can anyone help?
In any event, RIP Brian.
