It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden death on Wednesday 21st August 2024 of retired Insp 801 Nigel LIDSEY, 63 years. His next of kin is his wife Lyn and he leaves two sons, Richard and Michael.
Nigel joined Derbyshire Constabulary on 22 July 1985 and worked at, Derby, Ashbourne, Headquarters and retired as an Inspector on South Division in July 2015. His funeral has been arranged for 2.30pm on Monday 16th September 2024. This will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium, Aston on Trent. All former colleagues are welcome to attend.. Ian Louch (Chair)

It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden death on the 4th August 2024 of ex PC 2345 Bryan CLARKE, 70 years. His next of kin is his wife Gail Clarke.
Bryan served on foot patrol in Bolsover from 15th May 2000 to 30th September 2013. Bryan had previously served in South Yorkshire Police in CID. His funeral has been arranged for 2.00pm on Monday 2nd September 2024 at Rosehill Crematorium, Cantley Lane. Doncaster DN4 6NE. Sean Murphy (Secretary) It is with sadness that I have to inform you of the death in Chesterfield Royal Hospital on Tuesday 1st August 2024 of ex Insp 51 Ronald HIPKISS, 95 years, of Ashgate, Chesterfield. His next of kin is his wife Lucy Hipkiss who is living with dementia in a Care Home. All communications via his son, Mr Jason Hipkiss.
Ron as he was known, joined Derbyshire Police after National Service, where he served in Libya. He served in Driving School and Firearms retiring in 1985/86 as Inspector at the new Chesterfield Police Station. On retiring he was Head of Security at Robinsons, Chesterfield until 1995. His funeral has been arranged for 1.30pm on Friday 6th September 2024 at Chesterfield Crematorium, Brimington Road, Chesterfield S43 1AU. Sean Murphy (Secretary) |
