We were formed in 1947 and we celebrated our Diamond Jubilee in 2007.

It is known that the founder member and first Secretary was in 1947, Thomas Joseph kennedy, an ex Inspector at Matlock and he continued in this office until 27th March, 1963. The Chairman was W. B. Clews and both worked diligently towards an efficient branch.

PERCENTAGE PENSION INCREASE

I have to inform you that the annual percentage pension increase for 2009 has been confirmed as 5.0% (RPI)

At the recent NEC meeting it was agreed to seek a subscription rise of .84p a year. As from the 1st January, 2009 the annual subscription will be £16.92, this amounts to £1.41 per month.
